We’re spotlighting three team members whose journeys reflect the power of heritage, identity and connection. From Zimbabwe to Brighton, the Dominican Republic to Seville, and Mali to France, Toko, Geudy and Kadiatou share how their backgrounds influence the way they lead, connect and create space for others to thrive.
Meet Mthokozisi, or Toko, as he’s known to his team members. Toko’s journey began in Zimbabwe, where his parents made the decision to move the family to Brighton in search of new opportunities. He pursued a degree in Football Coaching and Management at the University of Manchester, and after graduating, he kickstarted his career at Enterprise Mobility by joining the Graduate Management Training Programme. He’s now an Assistant Branch Manager in North West England, building on his passion for teamwork and leadership. For Toko, he believes that respectful curiosity is how we learn.
“I’ve been lucky that my experience in the UK has been welcoming, but I know not everyone feels that way. That’s why education and awareness should be an everyday mindset. It helps us understand each other better. My best friend often asks me about my culture. Some people worry that asking questions might come across the wrong way, but I think respectful curiosity is how we learn. I hope this month sparks many more conversations about who we are and how we embrace our culture and values.”
Meet Geudy De la Cruz whose journey began in Spain, but his identity is connected to the Dominican Republic - the place of his family’s roots and cultural heritage. Geudy started his career at Enterprise Mobility as a Management Trainee. Today, he’s an Assistant Branch Manager at Seville Airport, where he brings empathy, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose to his role.
“As a Black person in Spain, I’ve been in environments where diversity isn’t always reflected, which has pushed me to embrace my heritage even more and become a voice for inclusion. I’m proud of who I am, where I come from, and the path I’m creating – not just for myself, but for others like me. In my role as Assistant Branch Manager, I always lead with empathy, celebrate differences and strive to create an environment where everyone feels seen and respected.”
Meet Kadiatou Keita whose living room tells a story. Masks from Mali, figures from South Africa and postcards from India fill the space, each sparking conversations about her heritage, travels and identity. As an Implementation Coordinator at Enterprise Mobility in France, Kadiatou celebrates the culture and traditions that shape who she is and enjoys sharing them with others.“
It’s important to be authentically yourself, stay true to who you are. I’m a single mum, and I share those values with my 20-year-old son, who was born in France. We listen to kora music together and often wear colourful patterns and fashion from Mali and cook traditional Malian dishes, like Yassa (a spicy meat dish) and Maffe (peanut stew with rice). My son has even taken those influences into his career as a chef. For me, authenticity is living those traditions and passing them on.”
At Enterprise Mobility, we believe in celebrating identity and recognising the stories, cultures and experiences that shape who we are every day.
