We are recruiting a Recoveries Supervisor to join ARMS® Claims Services (ACS), supporting our growing German Claims operation. This role is ideal for a motivated people leader with strong claims knowledge and a passion for driving performance, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

The Recoveries function plays a critical role in delivering high-quality claims management for customers, insurers, and business partners. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for the recovery of rental costs on non-fault motor claims, working closely with internal stakeholders and external insurers to maximise recovery outcomes.

 

This position requires fluency in both English and German (written and spoken) and offers the opportunity to be part of a newly established team supporting the German Non-Fault hire function.

 

Hours:

  • Full time (40hrs)
  • Monday - Friday 7:00- 4:00 or 8:00am-5:00pm

Location: 

  • This role can be 100% remote within the UK or office based at our European Contact Centre: Victoria Road, Aldershot, GU11 1EJ

Salary:

  • £37,500 upwards dependent up on experience (based on 40 hour working week)

As a Recoveries Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a team of recovery professionals while ensuring strong operational and financial performance.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading and managing a team of up to eight employees, driving engagement, productivity, and quality standards
  • Maximising recoveries and revenue while controlling operational costs
  • Monitoring and managing team performance against agreed targets, KPIs, and service standards
  • Reviewing and auditing claim files to ensure effective recovery strategies and high-quality documentation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and recovery techniques within the German Non-Fault claims area
  • Implementing change and promoting continuous improvement aligned to business strategy
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurers and external business partners to increase payment volumes and improve timeliness
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams across ACS UK and Germany to support strategic initiatives and optimise recovery outcomes
  • Encouraging smarter ways of working and ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards

Essential Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Fluency in spoken and written English and German
  • Experience within motor claims, credit hire, or recoveries is highly desirable
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, or supervising a team
  • Ability to pass a background security check, including financial probity and basic criminality checks

Key (minimum) requirements - Personal

  • Must be able to provide a suitable home-office environment which is free from noise and any distractions.
  • Must have a suitable alternative location from which to work in the event of an outage

Key (minimum) requirements - Technical

  • Internet access provided by a cable or DSL provider - WIRED CONNECTION AT ALL TIMES - WIRELESS CONNECTION IS PROHIBITED
  • Router must be VOIP compatible
  • Minimum upload speed of 2000 kbps (2.0 mbps) and Minimum download speed of 4000 kbps (4.0 mbps)

 

Additional Information

  • Will be provided with Laptop, Headset and Phone within the first few weeks of starting
  • Must have desktop/laptop (with Windows and Hardwired Internet) to work from in the meantime.
