Now, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Area Fleet Engineer – Fleet Solutions to join our VR Group, supporting operations across the UK and Ireland.

What Division Will I Be Working In? 

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent is our commercial vehicle rental division, delivering tailored solutions to businesses across the UK and Ireland. As part of the VR Groupyou’ll play a vital role in ensuring our fleet remains reliable, compliant, and cost-effective.

Location 

This is a field-based role supporting multiple locations across the UK and Ireland. You’ll work closely with depots, workshops, and suppliers in your designated area. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing 

 

  • Providing technical support across Fleet Solutions and other business areas 
  • Leading fridge ancillary equipment diagnostics, repairs, and service planning 
  • Collaborating with internal workshops and 3rd party suppliers to resolve vehicle issues 
  • Authorising repairs and signing off compliance paperwork 
  • Supporting customer visits with the Sales Team and delivering on-site fridge training 
  • Conducting audits and assisting with recharge job queries 
  • Building strong supplier relationships and managing SLAs 
  • Analysing vehicle repair data to improve maintenance policies 
  • Advising on salvage decisions and exploring EV/alternative fuel vehicle requirements 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repairs 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing workshops 
  • Proven expertise in fridge vehicles, including diagnostics and compliance 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 
  • Full UK Driving Licence 
  • Ability to think creatively and deliver alternative repair solutions
